Silkworm 36

$200.00
Sold

Silkworm 36 is glazed with a crystalline glaze developed by Ahn Lee.

7” x 7” x 1.5”
porcelain, crystalline glaze, gold cold finish

36 features turquoise and grass green crystals with a distinct star shape in the middle surrounded by one distinct growth ring and a dark green outline. The glaze surrounding the crystals vary between grass green and turquoise.

35 and 36 kissed* in the kiln, and those marks have been filed and painted with a gold cold finish. Because of this, both silkworms are marked down in price.

*”kissed” often denotes when two pieces accidentally touch during a kiln firing, which can cause them to be glazed together.
